Why DPF filters get blocked

Short journeys

When the engine doesn’t get hot enough, the DPF can’t burn off soot properly.

Too much soot build-up

Faulty injectors, EGR issues or poor servicing can cause excess soot to collect inside the filter.

Failed regeneration

If the car can’t complete its cleaning cycle, the DPF keeps filling up until airflow becomes restricted.

He helped me sort out my dpf problem on my Golf that a lot of others turned down. After the dpf was sorted and a stage 1 map the car feels great again and I’ll definitely be going back!

My Mercedes sprinter was very underpowered and struggled but now cruises along effortlessly, it’s like a new van. Now looking forward to driving it to Italy! I’ll probably save the cost of the remap in fuel efficiency
